Terms of Service

By accessing or using OxyAccounting, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use OxyAccounting.

You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.

OxyAccounting provides online accounting tools including invoicing, quotations, purchase orders, goods received notes, product management, payment processing, PDF document generation and automatic allocation of payments.

You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, including South African tax and financial regulations.

New accounts may start with a free trial of 14 calendar days. No payment details are required to begin a trial, no payment is taken during it, and there is nothing to cancel — the trial ends automatically.

The trial gives you the complete OxyAccounting platform, with the same features and the same limits as a paid subscription. It is intended for you to evaluate the service for your own business.

The trial period begins when you set your password and first sign in, not when you submit the signup form. The remaining days are shown in the application at all times.

When the 14 days end, access to your account is paused until you subscribe. Your data is not deleted at that point:

• You can sign in and start a subscription at any time afterwards, and your data will be exactly as you left it
• You can export your data at any time, including after the trial has ended
• You can ask us to permanently erase your account and all of its data by emailing hello@oxyaccounting.co.za from your account email address, and we will do so

We may permanently delete an expired trial account that has not been subscribed to and has been inactive for an extended period. Where we intend to do this, we will give you reasonable notice at your account email address first, so that you have an opportunity to export your data or subscribe.

Free trials are offered per business, one per customer. We may decline or end a trial where an account appears to be a repeat trial of the same business under a different email address, or where the platform is being used other than to evaluate the service in good faith.

We may change or withdraw the free trial offer for new signups at any time. Doing so does not affect a trial that is already running.

After any free trial, access to OxyAccounting is subscription-based at R149 per month. Payments are processed in advance via PayFast. OxyAccounting reserves the right to adjust pricing with advance notice to subscribers.

You agree to:

• Keep your account credentials confidential
• Not use OxyAccounting for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
• Not attempt to interfere with the platform's operation or security

All content, software and branding within OxyAccounting remain the property of OxyAccounting. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

Use of OxyAccounting is at your own risk. The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, reliability and security, no software is completely free of errors or downtime.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OxyAccounting and its affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from system errors, bugs, downtime, loss, alteration or corruption of data, unauthorised access to your account or data, or any failure of the platform to perform as expected.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but cannot guarantee absolute security against all potential threats and are not liable for breaches caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

In any event, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the platform will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold OxyAccounting harmless from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

OxyAccounting may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, illegal activity or for any other reason at its discretion.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the application, under Company → Subscription. Cancellation stops any further payments and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, during which your access continues unchanged. You may also cancel by emailing hello@oxyaccounting.co.za.

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

OxyAccounting may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
